Unmanned Vehicles (UV) are more and more used in challenging, unsafe, uncertain and remotely accessible environments. Under these conditions, the interaction with an operator becomes difficult or not possible.
The level of autonomy to be implemented on-board such unmanned systems therefore needs to be augmented with advanced GMR solutions.
Advanced GMR UV solutions include visual navigation in GPS-denied environments as well as autonomous navigation and mapping in unknown environments through sensor fusion (Lidar, camera, IMU, GPS, etc.).
